Relationships, A Wake up Call!!

In my search for everything helpful for you, I came across these words of wisdom from my dear friend Dr Phil! Here's the perspective of someone from a psychological background on matters of love and relationship. I think these are great questions to ask yourself BEFORE you come to see me!! If they don't pass the Dr Phil criteria... then maybe they're not worth doing a reading on? It will definitely give you some additional perspective on the matters troubling your heart.... xx Dr Phil on whether or not to let go of love? Have you been dumped, betrayed or left so heartbroken that you didn't ever want to love again? Are you still stuck on an ex and don't know how to move on? And how do you know when it's time to let go and look for love somewhere else? If you're "the other woman" who's waiting for a man to leave his lover, don't waste your time. "If he'll do it with you, he'll do it to you," Dr. Phil says. The man you want lacks integrity and can't make a commitment. Are your standards too low? Dr. Phil asks a guest who's waiting around for a man that's let her down time and again: "What is it about you that causes you to settle for somebody that you know will cheat on you,

The 7th Law of Spiritual Success: Dharma

Here is the last of Deepak Chopra's seven Laws. It provides a lot of food for thought. I also think it gives a sense of how one can best live a life that at the end of all their days they will be proud of. I think that if you followed the law of dharma, you would turn around in your old age and reflect that your life had been well lived... and that you were proud of who you were. I love this one soullies! let me know what you think xxx The Seventh Law of Spiritual Success: The Law of Dharma or Purpose In Life The Law of Dharma that we come to earth and take physical form to fulfil a purpose. Therefore that we actually come are born with "a reason to be". Your purpose is unique to you and only you, it is predetermined, and it is of value - do not question the value of your purpose, trust it instead. Your purpose will always have an element of giving to others, of being of service, and helping. This is because it is through these pursuits that our spirits know the greatest sense of happiness and satisfaction. Imagine children growing up with this knowledge, that right from the word go. That they knew they were of value and their lives were intrinsically meaningful, just because they were here. It would

The 6th law of Spiritual Success: The Law of Detachment

Today we're onto the Law of Detachment. This is such a good 'law' to get your mind around, in fact its life changing. It's certainly the only reason my life is what it is today. This law or thinking, essentially empowers you to build the life you want. For example, you lose your business, your money is gone, you have nothing left to show... or you get divorced, your life as you knew it is over, you have nothing and must start over, your family are taken from you and you are now on your own and feel no reason to live... this law of detachment helps you to find the meaning within that enables you to build the world without that will nourish you. You are far stronger than you will ever (hopefully) have to realise, know that that strength and capability is there and can be tapped into at all times, that what you can think of, what you can imagine, you can also create. This law says, if you lose everything that is of meaning to you and you have to start all over again with nothing, do it fearlessly, and build your life over again. Having actually been in this situation myself more than once, unfortunately, I can tell you honestly, there is nothing more empowering than realising that no matter

The 4th Law of Spiritual Success

Here is the 4th law of spiritual success, thanks to Deepak Chopra. And this one, by title alone, is my favourite!! It's super empowering.... wrap your head around it guys, its worth the effort. The Law of Least Effort The basic premise of this law is that you will do less and accomplish more, because you work with what is positive, and no longer waste energy on what depletes you. Accept others and the universe for exactly what they are. Realise that this moment is a culmination of all the moments and days before. It is not a bolt out of the blue... or something you can readily change. It is as it is meant to be. Take responsibility, you need to 'own' . Responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for your situation. You see yourself as in control, therefore you also are empowered to create a positive response to the situation you're facing and change it's impact on your life. All problems contain the seeds of opportunity. Every difficult situation becomes an opportunity for change and growth, and each difficult person becomes a teacher. What counts really is not the situation you're presented with - but your response to it. Reality is just your perception of things. Choose to interpret things differently - choose your response - and you also end up choosing your reality. Responsibility then means the ability to have

The 3rd Law of Spiritual Success

Here is the third law of spiritual success, its Karma. Karma is not an airy fairy grey area, it's really just about responsible choice making. The Law of “Karma” or Conscious Choice Making "Karma" is both the action you take and the consequence of that action; it is cause and effect simultaneously. Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us … we reap what we sow. Good karma equates, very simply, to good choice making. The heart is an intuitive decision-making tool. It´s holistic, it´s contextual, it's relational. It doesn´t have a win-lose orientation and it takes everything into account. The heart has a computing ability that is far      more accurate and far more precise than anything within the limits of rational thought. When you come from your heart you will not go wrong. Ask yourself what will be the outcome of my decision? What will it mean for others? “Will this choice I’m making bring happiness to me and to those around me?” If the answer is yes, then go ahead. If the answer is no, if that choice brings distress or loss either to you or to those around you, then don’t make it. It’s as simple as that. Applying the Law of “Karma” or Cause and Effect If we want to create happiness in our lives, we must learn to sow the seeds of

The 2nd Law of Spiritual Success

Here's The Second Law of Spiritual Success, from Deepak Chopra's 7 Laws of Spiritual Success. It's the Law of Giving. I think this one might be my favourite ... xx The Law of Giving (and Receiving) The Universe operates thru dynamic exchange; the giving and receiving of energy. From big complex systems to small simple ones, this is always true. Without it, everything stops and stagnates. Giving is the best way to ensure receiving If you want love in your life, learn to give love and to do so freely In order to grow or keep wealth or influence we must keep giving it and receiving it In improving our finances, we must realise that we can't hoard our money away, if we wish it to grow Share ideas; thought has the power to transform We cannot expect our friendships to grow if we do not offer our time and affection to others Applying the Law of Giving The most powerful forms of giving are non-material. Always give to others; time, compliments, flowers, smiles, it doesn't have to cost you anything Gratefully receive all the gifts… Especially give that which you seek, keeping the abundance of the universe circulating in your life Amber | www.intothesoul.com

The 1st Law of Spiritual Success

I'm determined to make today as positive as possible! So I began with a bit of a read of Deepak Chopra's 7 Laws for spiritual Success. It's gotten me so inspired, I felt that I had to share it with you!! So over the next week, I thought it would be cool to take a look at these "Laws" together. The first Law, is the Law of Pure Potentiality. Awesome for everyone from entrepreneurs to students to mothers. Use this to focus on creating the dynamics you want at home, in your business your health and your social life. Tap into it when planning your next step career wise and financially. This Law teaches that everything is possible and within this, that everything is also perfect and exactly as it should be. This Law encourages conscious living, or living in the "now". This is because it enables us to 'live' with meaning and purpose and gratitude. This is also central in Zen Buddhism. So you can look there too if you're really interested. So here's the first spiritual law, enjoy xxx The Law of Pure Potentiality • The source of all creation is pure consciousness. Consciousness, or your thoughts, therefore are the measure for your potential. Thoughts are the seeds of all creation, and we manifest them by seeking their expression. When we understand that our true Self is one of

Get the Most From Your Reading

I am bewildered. I've just had a session with a client who talked nonstop. Whilst I hope our session was of help to him, I imagine he could have gotten far more out of it, if he'd switched himself into 'listening' mode. Obviously its your right to choose how you want to conduct your 'appointment' with a psychic, but I've put down my tips for getting the most out of your session, at least with me anyway!! 1. Know what you want to focus your reading on. Are you interested in connecting to your guides? Do you want a love and relationship reading. Are you interested in what's to come over the next 12 months. Do you want advice on handling a specific situation. Are you trying to contact someone who has passed? Be clear on what you want and tell your reader. 2. Find out what your psychic needs to do your reading. Name? Date of Birth? Possession to hold on to? Provide what they need, and let them 'connect'. Don't tell them your story. You aren't here to do that. You're here to get insight from spirit. And your stories can be confusing to us. Its much easier to do a reading about someone you know nothing about and have no connection to, than someone you know. If we know you, we have

Is internal conflict the problem?

We all face major opportunities, challenges and changes in our lives. These come up around career, relationship and significant personal and family issues. It's part of everyone's experience. However, it's not always easy for us to know what we should do. Should we change jobs, end that relationship, relocate or invest our money there? Sometimes these decisions seem disproportionately overwhelming. So much so, that you end up unable to make any progress or decision at all. Often times seeking a 'reading' or spiritual insight is helpful. It provides clarity and insight. Helps you to explore options and outcomes and your potential for happiness. But sometimes even with this insight you still feel at a standstill. This is when it's really important to ask yourself whether the real problem is one of internal conflict? Internal conflict is when your desires or goals are not in line with your values or ''needs''. For example; security means everything to you when it comes to your job. To you it guarantees your lifestyle and peace of mind. Yet at the same time, you feel frustrated and stunted in your current role. You feel you should seek a new job, yet you're not able to commit to the idea.... its hard to walk away from what you have. Your underlying value of security is overruling your desire for growth and the possible risk of disappointment. Instead of delivering any clarity your thought process spins for weeks,

Loving Your Self?

All childhood long most of us are taught; ''treat others as you would wish to be treated.'' The majority of us do at try at least half heartedly with this one. But how many of us actually extend it to ourselves? I know many compassionate loving people who give everything they can to others, bending over backwards to support and care for them, and yet they are so mean minded when it comes to themselves, beating themselves up over the merest of trifles and giving nothing, not even kind words or encouragement to themselves. It makes little sense that we treat ourselves so poorly. The thoughts we have, the compassion we extend, and the kindness we show ourselves, determines everything about us. Our thoughts about ourselves, are exactly how we understand and define ourselves. We then go and reflect that understanding to the world, and in so doing, also show the world exactly what we in turn have to offer. This means that the way we treat ourselves and think about ourselves is very powerful stuff. If you're self-perception is lacking or negative, so to will be the people you feel drawn towards. You will not attract your ideal circumstances, experiences, or people, you will gravitate towards those that reflect your own self-concept. We seek out in others what we recognise and feel comfortable within ourselves. Therefore our concept of

Protect your Energy

This one is for all of you who have asked for tips on how to protect your energy. Here is a really simple way to do protect your energy that works for me : Lie down and close your eyes. Take a deep breath and consciously let the tension leave your body.... Fingers, neck, mouth, back... check that all are relaxed. Picture yourself lying down. Hold this image in your mind. Place a ‘bubble’ around yourself. See your body in the middle of the bubble. Note that the bubble is strong and flexible. This bubble is like a shield. Things will bounce off it, they will not penetrate it. Concentrate on shrinking the bubble to fit your body exactly. It has become a tight fit around you. It is perfectly comfortable and it fits you like a glove. This bubble is your ‘shield’. Practice seeing negative energy; harsh words, sad feelings, random spiritual energy, and so forth, just bouncing off it. See the emotions of others unable to penetrate it, the bubble is made of your energy and it is protecting you from all other energies. At first you will most likely need to practice putting this ‘shield’ around yourself 2 or 3 times a day. However as you become more familiar with it, the morning ritual should be enough. You should definitely notice changes

Lots of love, Ally xx Hi Soulfriends, Happy Friday to you all. Above is the beautiful feedback from a client of mine and I am sharing it with you as its made my morning happy... Thankyou Ally!! A lot of people are sceptical about psychics. But there are genuine ones who care about you and can offer real help and guidance. Genuine psychics, have big hearts, lots of integrity and are very careful to make sure you get what you need from your reading or session, if a psychic doesn't validate you or make you feel 'connected' they're not one of the genuine ones ... xx www.intothesoul.com

What screws us up most in life?

"What screws us up most in life ... is the picture in our head of how it is supposed to be." This is so true. How often do you catch yourself doing exactly this!!?! Thinking about the things you wish you had done, the things you wish you owned, the things you feel you've missed out on and the way you wish your life was. It's so easy to focus on the 'have not's'. The perceived failings, the difference between where you are and where you wish you were. Many people spend their lives this way, imposing an abstract sense of failure upon themselves, that does nothing but stir up feelings of inadequacy and anxiety. What if we just stopped doing that to ourselves? Imagine how much better the quality of life would be if we learnt to focus on what was in front of us, rather than what we 'wish' was in front of us. We all need to come back to the moment, to 'now' and let go of the reality we imagine, the past we miss, or the gaps we perceive between our 'wants' and 'have's.  Don't wish your life away in this type of pattern... Focus on what you feel, what you sense, what you love right now, and spread your wings and soar. Focus on how good 'right now' feels. Living in this exact moment, 'now' is profoundly liberating. Everything

Middle Pillar Ritual by Israel Regardie

Israel Regardie's book, The Art of True Healing, is an instruction in how to do The Middle Pillar Ritual Meditation.  Readers of Israel Regardie would have heard of this, and so would many with an interest in Western occultism. (Did you know that the word 'occult' simply means - the seeking of truth?) For those of you unfamiliar with "The Middle Pillar" it is an exercise where you work with moving energies throughout the body.  The true potential of this meditation as a means for healing is great as it is one that can be performed not only for one's self, but also to bring healing to another. And this book sets it down simply and practically, and also inspiringly. I highly recommend “The Art of True Healing”.  It’s a wonderful introduction to Israel Regardie and a practical one too, given that its less than $15. If you enjoy it, you can go on ahead and order The Middle Pillar Ritual, which is a longer book on the subject... “The Art of True Healing” gives new insights and depth to subject matters that you're already familiar with and introduces them for others... its well worth it Soul-friends . The Middle Pillar Ritual STEP ONE. When you finish the LBRP, Stand behind your altar (if you have one) facing east. Your hands should be down at your sides. If they’re not already, close your

This Month’s Sign: Cancer

Cancer (June 22-July 22) Good luck is on the horizon for you after what seems like months and even years of things feeling they are not going your way. But this month and this week changes everything as you come to see you are not the same person you were five years ago. You are faster, wiser, smarter and don't put up with being put down. Not anymore. As you've grown in wisdom and self-esteem, this has helped you to choose more wisely where you work and how you work. But your poise and demeanour are starting to win the respect of those around you, and this positive energy you are drawing to you is what is making you luckier. Work will improve and relationships will improve as the timing is right for you to decide who builds you up and who brings you down. You'll also have a lucky raise or windfall that you weren't expecting. Don't spend it all in one place. Save some, but try to have some fun with the rest.  You've worked too hard not to reward yourself. with thanks to LivePerson.com

Healing: 7 Steps to Healing Broken Trust

Few people would argue with the idea that honesty is the best policy. Policies however are not always adhered to, even those that we believe in and support. Regardless of how much we may desire to live a life of integrity in which we “walk the talk” and live in accordance with our inner principles, it’s likely that there will be times that we miss the mark. Nobody’s perfect. Every relationship is going to have occasional slippage. Great relationships however, require a high level of integrity in order to thrive. When a violation of trust, large or small, occurs it’s important to examine the conditions that contributed to the situation and to engage in a healing process that will restore trust and goodwill to the relationship. A betrayal is a broken agreement, implicit or explicit, that is considered vital to the integrity of a relationship. The capacity of a relationship to recover from a betrayal has a lot to do with the responses, particularly on the part of the betrayer to the situation. The more open and non-defensive they are, the more likely it is that there will be resolution. When both partners are committed to this as an outcome, the likelihood increases exponentially. When there has been a cover-up to a transgression, the lies and denials can do much more damage to the integrity
